CHARM OF THE COUNTRYSIDE

PRIVATE CLIENT

Raasepori, Finland

2024

INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

Surrounded by lush old trees and red-brick buildings, the design of the countryside home is an interplay with colours from the surroundings⎯red brick turning into shades of salmon, copper, and terracotta, and the greenery continuing indoors as a strong and calming basil green. With carefully selected tones for rooms opening to the south and the north, the home was painted with natural and environmentally conscious paints.

COLOUR ME, BEAUTIFUL

PRIVATE CLIENT

Tuusula, Finland

2022

INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

The design of the one-bedroom apartment honours the existing features of the flat. The original built-in kitchen cabinets and the bathtub were restored. Natural paints and pigments were used to create spaces that are both atmospheric and healthy for people and nature⎯featuring deep greens, chalky corals, and soft black.

BETWEEN CULTURES

THE FINNISH CULTURAL INSTITUTE FOR THE BENELUX

Brussels, Belgium

2018–19

INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

The institute’s premises reflect its role as an intermediary between Finnish arts and audiences in the Benelux countries. Conceptually, the gallery-like space forms a dialogue between Finnish art and the surrounding culture, with views onto diverse local architecture and a mix of local and Finnish furniture set against a salty white backdrop painted with environmentally conscious paints.
